NBA Playoff Games Postponed After Milwaukee Bucks Lead Strike to Promote Social Justice

The NBA playoffs are on hold after the Milwaukee Bucks chose not to take the court for Game 5 against the Orlando Magic on Aug. 26. All three games scheduled to be played on the 26th have been postponed as the Thunder, Rockets, Lakers and Trail Blazers joined the Bucks in deciding not to play.

The strike comes in response to the shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, 40 miles south of Milwaukee, on Aug. 23.  Players from around the league have voiced support for the Bucks’ decision.

Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix and ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski are reporting the NBA is not committing to any games beyond tonight and the remainder of the playoffs are in jeopardy.
